There's just no way I have time to try out various combos or prep anything but your average beam spell just to desperately try staying alive. It has its moments, but it's overpowered by how incredibly strong the monsters are compared to you. You feel so hideously underpowered the game mostly feels more like "Can we clear this insane gauntlet #489 before we both die and have to start from the very beginning", and if one of us dies quickly after rezzing the other it feels like just a game of keep away until the spell is back up, to make sure we're not both dead at the same time. I feel like this version is ridiculously difficult at numerous points and you've got monsters hammering on half your health while you have to input your spell and watch it gradually tick up in tiny increments. To be honest that's all I'm doing right now anyway. This time around we want to motivate the players to experiment more and have to think to succeed. Most players went through the original Magicka using only a few, extremely OP, combos. I'll add more as I catch them, although not many people have reviewed it yet. For a sequel that took four years to hit, that's just not good enough. That's not in itself a bad thing, as the Magicka formula is a solid one, but it is disappointing - there's hardly any progress from the first game. when you've a friend or three in tow - but even then it's a case of an all-too-familiar experience to the first game. Magicka 2 is fun in the right circumstances - i.e. If you’re looking for a game that’ll put a smile on your face and potentially make your evening with friends a bit more memorable, you could do a hell of a lot worse than Magicka 2. To lambast a title this hysterical, this full of bliss would be a crime to gamers, and the industry as a whole. While it doesn't break new ground or surpass the original, it's a blast to play with friends. Magicka 2 is Magicka refined - the same wizard-killing simulator co-op fans love with the fixes and improvements players craved. It feels more like an expansion to the original Magicka, or an unusually faithful remake. Ultimately, Magicka 2 fails to adequately build on its first outing. this combines steam, arcane, lightning, & fire into mines that seriously fuck shit up.then follow up with a super charged electrical AoE attack. Q+F+A+S+E+F -> SHIFT+RMB followed immediately with Ax5 -> SHIFT+RMB. It's an utterly sensational cooperative romp that refines the series' superb spellcasting into hilarious yet surprisingly tactical chaos. what is your secret, awesome spell combo looks like there was a few threads about this topic, but they no worky. You'll need three forgiving friends and a silly sense of humour to make the most of Magicka 2. If you want to pat yourself on the back for getting in-jokes and you can drum up enough play pals for co-op, you might find Magicka 2 very nice! Like its references, though, Magicka 2 is just a retread. Aside from a more stable release and simplified power-spell system, Magicka 2 is Magicka 1 done over again, in a more polished, streamlined, bite-size package. Paradox set out to deliver more of what fans loved about Magicka 1, and I think they’ve done it.
